One of the greatest most challenging journeys you will ever go on is seeing what your body is able to do. There might be a chance you are in shape, wholly out of shape, or merely looking to lose some weight. Nevertheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that is healthy, and lets you really adore every last piece of it really is a wonderful journey to try.

So what is the real secret behind making a lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table every day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you may become lackadaisical and daunted by the task at hand. Instead, really try and understand you are competing against and with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every single time you do, you should come back with a dedication to achieving something you've always strongly desire. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each and every day. Without it, you will suffer the the inescapable reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each single year on creating the body of their dreams because they lack the power to keep on coming back time and again.

Commitment also comes to mind, though not the commitment that you are possibly thinking of. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must take place at this time and if it does not actually happen right now, it is not worth it. Your body is going to drastically change throughoutthe years, so why don't you make a lifetime commitment to remaining healthy? Is that a marketable and packageable idea? Not so much. But is it something that could truly change the course of your life? Definitely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy all throughout your entire life, you will at last reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the big picture than just the few months in front of you till summer. It's honestly about developing something that you can be proud of for all the years to come. For me, that idea made my life different as I was able to finally hit my health goals after 12 years of fighting with my body image and food issues. But as soon as I shifted my view of what I was making an attempt to achieve, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it might work for you. Make a lifelong commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term as well.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all facets of your life, and things will change radically.
