Filled Under:

The Most Preposterous Weight Loss Products

By Todd Cheek

There are a wide variety of weight-loss solutions out there these days. Some of those items really are meant to help people lose weight. Other products, however, seem to be made for the sole purpose of making plenty of cash by selling to vulnerable and also desperate people. Some products and solutions are so preposterous that we thought we would discuss them here in this article so that you know not to fall for the promises they make.

Have you seen the fat reduction ring yet? This is often a silver band that coils around your index finger several times. The ring really should put pressure on the pressure points regarded as attached to weight loss. Science has proven that there are several pressure points in the body that, when touched, really can be used to help you feel better. Seabands, to apply one example, are made to trigger specific pressure points to help you control motion sickness. But the idea that a little ring can help you lose weight (actively, as a reminder it probably works just fine) is just absurd.

Have you found the neck line slimmer yet? This is a product that, apparently, designed to help firm the muscles in your neck to help counterbalance any loosely or hanging skin. It does this, seemingly through vibration. Any health care provider worth his co-pay will tell you that if you have a bunch of extra skin hanging from your face or your neck, the skin has already been stretched out and is unlikely, even if your neck muscles strengthen, to shrink back up into the firm skin of your youth. If you are concerned about the skin on your neck, see your physician.

Have you noticed the Belly Burner Weight Loss Belt? This is a warmed up belt that is meant to allow you to literally melt the pounds away by doing nothing else beyond wearing the belt. From what we can tell the belt was created to heat your core and that is supposed to make the fat fall through... what? We have yet to really find that out. Though we are able to tell you that though sweating can certainly burn a few calories, there is no guarantee that they will only be burned from the area covered by the belt. Talking to your doctor will be enough to validate that this product is not meant to do anything at all besides get your hard earned money.

The real truth is there are loads of people who only want to get their hands on your money. They know that you are sensitive and insecure about your body and that you want nothing more than to lose some weight so they prey on those emotions. A massive amount people want practically nothing more than to lose weight but don't want to do the work that it takes to get them there. If the task were effortless, far more people would be able to do it. It is frequently quite difficult to lose fat. There is simply no secret pill, clothing item or accessory that does the job for you.
